About the Competition

Majalis Al-Quran Center proudly hosts the Mama Ruqia Girls' Qur'an Competition in loving honor of the late mother of Sheikh Hassan Ibrahim Al-Wajidi. This competition is a living act of birr al-walidayn — honoring one's parents — celebrating a mother's legacy through the recitation and memorization of the Holy Qur'an.

Girls of all ages are warmly invited to take part. Valuable prizes await the winners — but the greatest reward is carrying the Book of Allah in your heart.

Final Competition Begins

1 January 2027

Registration must be completed by 20 August. All registered participants will then sit a qualifying assessment on 17 September to confirm their memorization level. Those who pass proceed to the final competition, which begins 1 January 2027.

Is there an age limit?

No, the competition is open to all age groups (except the 1 Juz' category, which is for ages 50+ only).

Can I register on behalf of a family member without internet access?

Yes, you may complete the form on their behalf using their correct details.

What are the important dates I should know?

Registration closes 20 August 2026. The qualifying assessment is 17 September 2026. The final competition begins 1 January 2027.
